“The Magic Desk and Other Short Films by Lior Shamriz” – A new dvd by the Berlin UdK Filminstitut’s DVD EDITIONS, will be published in July.
The DVD includes THE MAGIC DESK, BEFORE THE FLOWERS OF FRIENDSHIP FADED FRIENDSHIP FADED, THE VACUUM CLEANER, HO! TERRIBLE EXTERIORS, ALBANIA, two found footage short films and two video clips. The edition is curated by Heinz Emigholz.
The DVD premiere will take place at the Kino Arsenal on July 8th.

SATURN RETURNS will be screened in July at the Kino Arsenal in Berlin (Germany).

SATURN RETURNS won (tie) the BEST PICTURE FILM AWARD at the ACHTUNG BERLIN FILM FESTIVAL (Germany).
On stage, actress Chloe Griffin spoke in support of poetess Hissa Hilal.
The jury included Cynthia Beatt, Florian Koerner von Gustorf and Christian Schwochow.

SATURN RETURNS will take part in the ACHTUNG BERLIN FILM FESTIVAL, which runs April 14-21 in Berlin, Germany. It will compete there for several prizes.
Official screening is on Saturday, April 17, 22:30 in Babylon Mitte. Further screenings are on Monday, April 19 in Passage Neukölln and Tuesday, April 20 in Filmtheater Friedrichshain.

The filming of the motion picture MIRRORS FOR PRINCES is finished.
The film, starring Horst Günter Marx and Imri Kahn, tells the story of a father and a son. Shooting took place in a house in Wandlitz, Brandenburg (Germany) and in a studio which was built especially for the shooting in Wedding, Berlin.
The film is written and directed by Lior Shamriz. Cinematography was done by David Schmitt, and the set was designed by Ole Kloss.
Also in the team were Alina Rojas (Ass.Director), Sander Houtkruijer (Ass.Camera) and Johanna Tauber (Recordist).
